The Possum’s Hangout is a sprawling adventure playground incorporating numerous raised climbing challenges including sea ropes, wobble bridges and assorted climbing nets. There are three platform features to stand and take in the views across the web of play below, the largest of which is the Possum’s Nest. This substantial hang-out space can be accessed via a tubular ladder, wobble bridge and log scramble. Hidden within the rustic branch-clad nest are internal platforms for climbing and resting, all within the safety of the hexagonally shaped steel mesh roof. Descend from this high nest tower down the winding tubular slide. The smaller Possum’s Nest provides an alternative space to rest and keep an eye on things, safely nestled within the belly of the galvanised steel ‘pot’. The Pit-Stop Deck is a semi-circular platform designed to give you a brief rest from the challenges of the surrounding climbing ropes. Chain bridges, an impressive pentagonal-shaped net and concrete hand and foot holds attached to the many bush poles all add to the comprehensive climbing challenges provided by the Possum’s Hangout. Concrete footings, steel framework and hardwood timber cladding ensure this playground is built to last.
